For the trip we chose to take a flight from the Swiss company Edelweisse Air from Kloten airport in Zurich. The flight was at 6am so we booked one night at the Ibis Messe to catch our flight the next day. The Ibis hotel has the distinction of making offers including one night, breakfast and covered parking for 15 days with transfer to Zurich airport. To avoid stress in the morning we preferred to check in the luggage the day before as the airport only opens from 5 am. The ability to check baggage is offered by most airlines up to 24 hours prior to flight.

Our arrival point was Hermes Airport near the city of Larnaca, about 45 kilometers from Ayia Napa.

The flight lasts between 3:30 and 4:00, depending on weather conditions.

From Larnaca we took a taxi to get to our hotel.

The duration is about 45 minutes and costs 50 € (2 people + luggage).

Our stay lasted 9 days.

We chose Ayia Napa as a summer destination to find a place where we could enjoy the beach and the nightlife.

Ayia Napa is the ideal city to combine seaside and party.

When we strolled in the center of Ayia Napa, we found that the resort is popular with young people, but not only, a lot of family and couple enjoy pleasant nights for a drink on the many terraces that the city offers.

To get around, different ways are available: taxis (relatively cheap), the bus 101 and 102 that crosses from Famagusta to the Water Park (€ 1.50 per person // from 9 pm: € 2.50) makes it easy to reach the center or the different places and interesting beaches that offers the region.

Another possibility to move is to rent a vehicle (car, quad, scooter or buggy) many young people choose this option.

Be careful driving is on the left and some people forget a little rules of circulation.

Hotel Grecian Sands ****.

This hotel is located east of the center of Ayia Napa (about a 12-minute walk) and provides direct access by stairs to Glyki Nero Beach. The hotel has a large and beautiful swimming pool with sunbeds at its edge as well as towards the beach (included in the price of the room).

The rooms are air conditioned and relatively spacious.

The hotel offers a spa with hairdresser, beautician, fitness and indoor pool.

The little extras of the hotel:

Beach towels are available for free and can be changed daily.

Love Bridge

The Love Bridge is a stone arch created by the sea that flows into the water.

This natural bridge between land and sea is about 3 minutes walk from the hotel Grecian Sand (15 min from the center of Ayia Napa). It is a beautiful place to take pictures of the landscape. The arch is strong enough to mount on it.

Cap Greco

« Cap Greco » is a national forest park located at the southeastern tip of the island of Cyprus.

This is one of the must-see places to visit near Ayia Napa.

A magnificent viewpoint overlooking the sea and the entire region is a 15-minute walk from the nearest bus stop.

Sea Cave

The Sea Cave are located in Cap Greco Park. These are caves dug by the sea.

Access to one of the caves is simple, you have to be a little clever to go down the rocks. Many people enjoy the transparency of turquoise water to jump from the top of the cliff and enjoy swimming.

To get to this site, you can walk from the Cap Greco stop (20 min)

We advise you rather to rent a vehicle (quad, buggy …) in order to easily visit the cellars and the summit of Cape Greco. The road is easy to access, the last end is a little stony.

Konnos beach

« Konnos Beach » is a beach located near Cape Greco.

The water is beautiful, the sea is calm.

Unfortunately, the place is crowded with people and the beach is not very big.

Nissi beach

« Nissi beach » is another well-known beach located west of the center.

The white sand beach is truly magical, the water is transparent turquoise with the peculiarity of having the bottom about 30 meters

A large part of the beach has private to hotels. Sunbeds with blue umbrellas are for rent at a price of € 2.50 (two sunbeds and a parasol = € 7.50).

The Nissi Bay Bar located on the beach is a festive place that has the particularity of organizing Foam Party from 15 h until 19 h on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Taverna Napa

Typical Cypriot tavern since 1976.

Great place to eat typical dishes of Cyprus and enjoy excellent weather.

Japanese restaurant offering the possibility to eat around the work plan of the cook performing a breathtaking culinary show.

Booking is recommended.

Italian restaurant on the central street of Ayia Napa.

The staff was nice and the food excellent.

Little more, limoncello offered

During our travels, we used to test a product and present it on the blog.

Is an ultra-resistant backpack and designed to be left with your belongings under high security.

The bag is made with a fabric that is extremely resistant to stabbing or other means of tearing.

A reinforced strap makes it possible to lock the bag and its contents with a padlock while hanging it on a barrier or a parasol fixed on the ground.

We decided to buy this bag so we could leave our belongings (phone, money, etc.) on the beach attached to the deckchair while we enjoy the sea safely and without risk of theft.

We found this accessory immensely convenient and strongly reassures to leave it on the beach unattended.
